Looking at the sea with weariness
I don’t cry, I don’t complain
I look at the sky, I only feel conflicted
My heart, like a small wooden boat, cannot see far
Still it moves forward
Who punishes me in this life?
I struggle everyday in the sea of people
I feel regret in my heart
The years flow like water, I can’t keep yesterday
I can only keep the memories
One by one, in my mind forever
In this world, I miss and miss the olden years
My appearance has already changed
My circumstance too, but my feelings remain.

Nihon no Kurisumasu
December
Tokyo,Japan
Nihon no Kurisumasu
The two major religions in Japan are Shinto and Buddhism, so Christmas is viewed as more of a commercial event.
It is often said that Japanese are born Shinto and die Buddhist. The main celebration is Christmas eve and not Christmas day.
In Japan it is common to give Christmas presents have Christmas decorations and give small Christmas Cakes.
For single women it is crucial to have someone to spend Christmas eve with. It is also very important what present they receive and where they spend Christmas eve. Young Japanese women who have a boy friend tend to show him off.
There is also sarcasm that Christmas is compared with a woman's age. Cake shops throughout Japan try to sell all the Christmas cakes before Christmas eve.
Any cakes left after Christmas eve are viewed to be out of date and too old to sell. Japanese women over 25 years old are said to be 'unsold Xmas cake.'
This is a bad tradition that is currently in change due to young Japanese women now choose to marry at older ages.
