Song writer and producer Hikaru Utada is one of today’s largest pop stars. Her Japanese accomplishments over the past few years are astonishing. Her first album in 1999 First Love is the country's biggest-selling album of all time, and now three albums rank among the Top Ten best-sellers. She has 12 Number One hits, including four songs in Japan's all-time Top 100.
She started singing at age 12, and became a platinum Japanese super-star at the young age of 15.
Distance in 2001 had the largest first-week sales for any album in Japanese history, selling three million copies. In total, she has sold more than 52 million albums. All of this before the age of twenty.
Now again edging into the American Market with new music, Hikki only needs one video to catch and everyone will then be her fan forever.
We truly thank her for her talented accomplishments in video and song.
